Infodump: Enyo Interior

I wrote this some time ago for some small-scale RP I was involved in out in Genesis. Thought I might as well make it public, as there's not much else I can use it for now. Enjoy!

The Interior of the Enyo follows the usual Gallente design ethic. Organic curves seem to permeate everything, and surfaces have a strange metallic sheen. The Enyo’s Interior differs slightly in colour from other Gallente frigate interiors. Reds and oranges, The corporate colours of Roden Shipyards, are prominent here.

Being a Capsuleer’s ship, the Bridge is dominated by the Hardware needed to connect the Pod with the rest of the ship. The original bridge controls have been removed, leaving a large empty area behind. On this particular ship, it’s being used for extra storage, with crates of Hybrid Ammo piled up against the walls.

From the bridge, Three long corridors are visible. Two of these are maintenance, and lead up either side of the ship, branching off at regular intervals. Most of these branch off to Gun and weaponry mounts, and are rarely used when the ship is in flight, as the guns are controlled from a central source. Where the two corridors meet at the back of the ship, there are passages leading off to rooms which provide various engine and thruster functions.

The Central corridor leads to the Core of the ship, where controls for mounts, Sensors and Navigation can be found. The crew’s quarters can be found up here as well, close to the various control rooms in the event that the ship is ‘caught napping’
Typically, Assault frigates house crews of 5-10, depending on the model, but with the introduction of capsule technology, this number was drastically reduced, with some of the lower tech frigates not needing crew at all. However, the design of the Enyo requires a minimum of five crew members at any time to Operate.

The Crew’s quarters accommodate for Ten, with a single room set aside for the captain.
Each room contains two bunks, washing facilities, and various privacy screens. Being of Gallente design, the rooms also contain various functions that make life for the users more comfortable, with elaborate systems that allow for a change in the colour of the walls, and a database full of Holoreels to pass the time when the ship is inactive.
The Crew quarters also comprise of a Central Space, in which the crew socialise, eat and entertain themselves, and a small kitchen.

The captain’s room is much like the others, except the second bunk has been removed to make way for a desk, and a piece of equipment trailing various wires, that allows for basic interfacing with the ship for short periods of time. The room is not bigger, or more elaborate than those of the crew’s, Roden’s designers recognised that relative deprivation could occur, and took steps to avoid it when designing the Enyo.

Finally, nestling at the core of the ship, are the control rooms. These are packed full of tools that allow for manipulation of the ship, whilst under guidance from the Pod. Various override systems allow the Capsuleer to put his or her foot down upon any unwanted activity, but for the most part, only co-ordination is required. Crew members will plug themselves into various interfaces that are geared towards operating a specific part of the ship, and that receive Instructions from the Pod at the bow.

Ch-ch-changes

So I think I might finally start posting OOC as well as IC and start tagging my posts properly.

Previously I think it was partially laziness, and partially lack of opinion that had me avoiding Out-of-character posts. Now I finally find myself running a corporation again, I feel like I (might) at least have something to say.

AI seems to be shaping up better than I expected, although trying to get people together to do stuff feels a little like herding cats at times.

Anyways, that's all I'm going to say for the second. Lil' worried I might let slip about some of my corporate plans™

Signing On

The docking clamps held the Cyclone-Class Battlecruiser in place, as maintenance teams moved to and from the rigging platforms like swarming ants...

"Next"

Kitty nearly jumped out of her seat. She tore her gaze away from the window, hastily brushed herself off, and headed into the office. The room was plain, unadorned, yet dominated by the same window looking out into AI's private hangers that Kitty had glued herself to in the waiting room earlier.

As Kitty approached the desk. A tired-looking Sebiestor woman sat behind it, she smiled briefly, and gestured for Kitty to take a seat.

"Ms Stalls wasn't it?"

"Yes Ma'am"

The Sebiestor glanced at her datapad.

"And you were applying for an engineering position on-board the Corelatis Amurru, correct?"

Kitty gave a nod

"Any specific reason for picking out the Amurru over the other ships in dock at present?"

"It pays well, and I've done a lot of theory work around ships like the Cyclone. Know all the stuff behind working shield arrays and- yeah, well I figured It seemed the most relevant to me" She swallowed nervously.

"I see- Well, I've reviewed your application, but there's a few things I'd like to clarify before we hire you. First off, you said you moved to the Amod SoE Station from Allilere when you were about 19, Where exactly in Alillere were you?"

Kitty could hear two men talking through the door at the back of the office. She couldn't make out words, but one of the voices seemed oddly familiar.

"Ms Stalls?"

"Oh- the Aliastra Depot. I've been in space all my life. Never really had the chance to go planetside"

"Right, and why exactly did you move to Amod?"

"Lack of employment"

"Alright, and would be your first time on-board a combat vessel, correct?"

"Yes, it is. Is there any specific training I have to go through?"

"A fair amount, but most of that will be covered whilst the ship is still in dock." The Sebiestor paused for a second, entering something into her datapad. "Alright, I think that was all we needed to cover. Report to Dock D4 with any personal effects you want to bring aboard. You'll be assigned a cabin somewhere by the ship's Admin division. I've forwarded regulations on what you can take aboard to the neocom address you provided with your initial application.
Any questions?"

"No Ma'am"

"Alright, I think we're done here. Dismissed"

Kitty pushed her chair back, stood up, and headed for the exit. Just as she was leaving, she heard a door opening behind her. She ignored it, and left the office, her heart pounding.

Dear Mr. Caman
I am writing to you from [OMITTED] in regards to a database entry you left with us some time ago whilst in at the Intaki Syndicate Bureau in 9GYL-O.
It seems that your idea has caught the attention of [OMITTED] and is now eligible for funding from us.
As we understand it, you recently terminated your employment with the Angel Cartel. We hope you'll consider getting back to us on this offer. It could do great things for Syndicate.

Regards

[OMITTED]

Cracks in the Glass

The feed starts up. Milo's empty desk is seen to a second, before the scene flicks across to what appears to be security footage of a nightclub. The quality is poor, but not so degraded as to miss a lone figure sitting hunched at the bar.

Over the course of an hour, the figure apparently orders a large quantity of spirits, taking the drinks as they come. Shot glasses sprout like mushrooms, before being cleared away by the woman at the bar.

After some time, the figure tries to stand up, collapsing to the ground in a heap with a glass in his hand. It falls, shattering on the tiles. The figure is hauled away by two burly security guards, and life at the nightclub resumes as normal.

The feed closes, flicking briefly back to Milo's empty apartment before going blank.

A New Start

The Camera drone boots up with a whirr, There's a clunk and the whirring stops. The screen slowly focuses on Milo, sitting at his workbench again. He looks exhausted, but he's smiling.

So yeah, it's been a while.

He stretches, and moves off screen. The sound of a liquid being poured is heard, and Milo reappears on-screen with a steaming mug of coffee.

I- I think after all I've been through up in Syndicate over the past few months, I'm going to make a new start, a new beginning.

He pauses to sip his coffee and continues

The techs out in 9-GYL were- just fantastic. I don't think my implants should ever trouble me again. There's so many interlocks and safety features now, It's probably possible to just yank them out without disabling them first. Not that I'm going to try that of course.
I kind of gained a new perspective out there as well, y'know? How lucky we are. I mean- I thought that low security stations were a bit run-down, but some of the places out in Syndicate-

He gives a shudder, closing his eyes for a moment.

Anyway, New Start. I've been spending way too much time on-station of late, and I need to get out on patrol again. I should be back on my feet technically and work-wise in a few days, ANN is running smoothly on it's own for now.

He grins

Camera off. I have work to do!

Overflow

Thud

The Ishkur tears through space, bleeding fuel, drones slide back into its bay as the ship aligns for warp-

Thud

Milo working on a tabletop, he carefully pulls apart a small metal object, bringing one part up into the light with a pair of forceps-

Thud

The cloaked silhouette of an Arazu slides through space, light diffusing around it’s curved hull. Camera drones swerve 180 degrees and zoom in on a Viator anchoring a Gallente-made control tower-

Thud

Market figures, hundreds of them, scrolling by at a rate too fast to pick out any individual items-

Thud

A Brutor woman, pushing Milo against a wall-

Thud

Milo, hunched over a console in an office, strange blueprints scatter the floor and desks-

Thud

A young man, proudly walking through a crowd with a group of others, the FNA insignia clear on his jacket-

Thud

Thud

Thud

The camera drone pans back, revealing Milo curled and shaking violently in a doorway across from the workbench-
